  1. Fantastic! Well done Ced. Bravo!
  2. Hey Kev. If you want doors or anything else I will be home on Friday. A plus!
  3. Sorry to read this Kevin! Talk to you when I am back from Oz.
  4. Welcome Ced. Very nice work going on there.
  5. A very nice circuit. Maybe a little short for a coupe but a lot of fun. A very professional set up and orginization.
  6. Welcome Greg. Very nice coupe you have there.
  7. Here is a link to Speed monster website http://speedmonster.forumactif.fr/ I see on thier calender they are doing a day at La Charade! I am with them this Sunday at Le Vigeant.
  8. Here is the copy of the reply that Graham L kindly sent me. Hi, I don't have that many left myself now (will be ordering more in a month or two) so if you wanted more than 5 or 10 then you'd be as well to just order them yourself. If you'll be testing them on multiple cars and making a lot of changes to work things out then you'll probably need at least 30-50 chips just for development, that's about how many I went through when testing the original Gtec1 version. I order from: rswww.com www.farnell.com I hope this helps. the part is a 27c512 in PLCC package (that's the square type chip rather than the rectangular DIP type) of at least 100ns access speed (ie. 100ns or less). RS only has 1 27c512 in PLCC format : AT27C512R-45JU and Farnell have 2 types in PLCC: AT27C512R-70JU AT27C512R-45JU the 45 or 70 on the end is the access speed, so either of those types are fine. It's also possible to use a flash (erasable) chip if the programmer you're using supports it, that way you can keep using the same chip for testing. That would be a 29f040 or similar (flash chips can have different ID number formats depending on the manufacturer), again in 32 pin PLCC format. The other alternative, as used by the "live mapping" guys, is to get an eprom emulator that supports the 27c512, which is special hardware that you plug into the ECU socket in the car and run a cable out to a laptop, that allows you to make changes in realtime while the engine is running. Regards, Graham
  9. I can contact Graham L on fccuk if you want. He will have virgin chips. Or he may tell me where to buy them.
  10. Here is a thread from a very well respected engineer who works with the 16 valve engine's mainly intergraile but coupes aswell. In this thread on page two he shows some gearbox strenthening guides. You may know about them allready though. I thought it may be usefull. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=47&t=1292521&mid=195212&i=0&nmt=Fix+It+Again+Tomorrow+%2D+Street+Sleeper&mid=195212 This is his website. http://www.deltaparts.co.uk/
  11. Acces Piste are doing this for Mars http://www.accespiste.fr/ I cant do any track days till May due to working away and holidays.
  12. This trackday organiser seems good. http://www.circuitsalainspassions.com/ I am hoping to use them later in the year. These are good but a little expensive http://www.accespiste.fr/ But there are very few cars on track so you get lots of track time. This is the club that i do Saturday evenings 2 hour open track at val de vienne circuit http://www.nenetteracingclub.fr/ But it is better to find them on Facebook. There is allways ALOT of cars there. My last day at Le vigeant val de vienne was with this club http://www.agc86.fr/liens/ Excellent club very well organised, fantastic day.
  13. The BBC is a house of hypocrites and do whatever the past/present and future government's want. I have worked there for 18 month's and have seen the total disregard of the public's money and they answer to no one! Clarkson speaks his mind, sure, but allways with one eye on his back waiting for the bbc dagger. He has surrounded himself with clever writers and also good advice from lawers etc. The top gear format is a winning recette all over the world, but none can copy Clarksons dry humour. I like him mostly. Its an entertaining auto show. But if you want the engineering details of a car they test drive you have to find it somewhere else. Long may it continue.
  14. A 1998 or after 5 speed 20 vt. But i would investigate more about that before a decision is made.
  15. This thread has just started on FCCUK. http://www.fccuk.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1519240#Post1519240 It may be of interest and help hopefully.
  16. enthusiastic as usual! English drivers won't be late Maybe true. But it is alot of hard work for Pete P and he needs as much time as possible. He has said he was not going to do it next year but he must have changed his mind for us all.
  17. They have started the list for Spa 2015 on the FCCUK site.
  18. Thankyou guy's that's very kind. Hopefully next year we can all get on a track together.
