Unfortunately, some guys races on streets and avenues too. I forgot to tell you that our Club has a "Flagship"; a true former TC 2000 car.   10. Ca va, MoyaNOS: Don´t worry! Thanks. ALL our Sierras are MK I, the only change is the open front and minor changes. You can see at www.fordsierranet.com.ar. Venezuela did have MK2, Cologne, EFI, A4LD... Unfortunately, the TC 2000 was denaturalized: all cars have same engine, ECU, suspension, etc. There are "Civic´s, Corolla, Megane, Focus by chassis (tubular) design. It´s still a FIA series.   11. Hi, Saleens: The Volvo 16v camshaft is well known here. There are few Sierras equipped with it. Some stuff about argentine Turbo Sierras: 1) Ing. Pellegrini's 480+ hp (the last photo I posted) David: I never said that the Karman´s XR4Ti was produced nor sold here. In fact, there are few units, a couple of them owned by our Fans Club President. I only said that has the 2.3 engine (injected and T2 turbocharged) It has 175 hp (145 the c3 AT) There was a Sierra XR4 16V "Optima": an aftermarket development that didn´t pass the prototype.. 202 km/h, about 150 hp 5400 rpm.   12. Take care of The Pampas. Take a glance at Dakar 09/10. ;-) Argentina has plenty autos & races fans. Unfortunately, economy's not good, as you surely know. Strictly spoken about Ford Sierra, it's a model forgotten, here. Ford sold only 77.000 units over 9 years of production (only 3.300 breaks); it was so expensive, despite of his old engine. It also has his (madly) fans. It's competitor, at street & races, was the Renault fuego. Nowadays is very difficult to find a car in a good shape (specially the beloved XR4), but there are lots spare pieces a bon marché. Automatic boxes are very few here, too. I have mysalf a disable in my righy arm and hand and I need it. And you EVER reach home riding them, even broken. Cheers, OSCAR
  13. Salut! Le "Lima" 2.3 était vieux en 1984, mais il avait equippé le Taunus argentine (1974!-1984) et la situation economique non etait pas bien. Par 1989-90 avec un nouveau "restyle" on pensé en 2.0 EFI ou 2.8 Cologne (connu ici en Granada) mais Ford locale fussioné avec VW (Brasil aussi) fait cette ideé impossible. Le VW Santana = "Ford" Versailles (Brasil) et Galaxy (.ar) avec Audi engine 1800 et 2000cm3. Sierra continue avec le 2.3 jusque son partie en 1993. Non MK 2/3 ici. Mais on potenciée avec injection, turbo, etc. Cette moteur argentine, le meme "Lima", a 300+ hp Turbo + injection http://www.pellegriniracing.com.ar/desarrollo%20del%20sierra.htm Cette auto a une Borg Warner T5, autres turbos ont boîte Mazda (Ranger) Par comparation, la Merkur XR4Ti 175 hp (145 avec AT) avec le Lima turbo. La calandre ajourée esta pour meullier ventileur l' engine. Autres preferent le front fermé. Ou interchanger. En Buenos Aires, nous preferons le para choc européenne, et aimons la "Cossie". Seulement j'ai aditioné 3° stop lumiére Hella, et inertiales derriéres. Les XR4 jantes sont aussi originelles. Pneus Pirelli P400 185/70/14 Audio blaupunkt.   18. Hello: Je m´appelle Oscar et j' habite a Buenos Aires, Argentina. Comme est indiqueé a la signature, j´ai a 1989 Sierra MKI Rural (Estate /Turnier) avec boîte automatique C3 "Bordeaux". Le moteur est le connu Ford "Lima" 2.3 avec carburateur Solex 34/34. 105 hp. Le meme qu' equipe a Merkur XR4Ti, mais sans le turbo. Je suis trés heureux d´[etre ici. J´ai etudié francaise au college... il y a 25 ans! Pardon! Il est possible d´ecrire en spagnol ou anglais? OSCAR
