    Summer X GAMES 12 (rally)

    Bonjour a tous, Un événement va peut etre relancer le rally au Etats-Unis. Elle a eu lieu cette fin de semaine en Californie dans le cadre d'une compétiton de sports extreme, 12eme édition et premiere présentation du sport extreme "Rally" Dans un format "Américain" mais quand meme spectaculaire. Cela en vaut le téléchargement!! Un invité de marque pour cette premiere "Colin McRae" et un jeune prodige Américain "Travis Pastrana" Seul équipe Canadienne "Rocket Rally de la famille Richard" de l'ouest du pays. Pas de Québécois malheureusement. Reportage en anglais mais de bonne qualitée, vous etes surement deja au courant de cette épreuve mais je vous la présente au cas ou. SVP laissé vos commentaires sur ce format de "Rally"....moi j'ai aimé. Quelques photos pour vous metre l'eau a la bouche.   2. J'aimerais rejouter au topic. La meme information que plus haut avec quelques points en plus. Merci. VF22: This turbo has the highest output potential of all of the IHI VF series turbos and is the best choice for those who are looking for loads of top end power. The top end power however, does not come without a cost. The VF22 spools significantly slower than the rest of the IHI models due to the larger P20 exhaust housing and is much less suited for daily driving than some of the other models. Although the largest VF series turbo, the VF22 is not quite optimal for stroked engines or those who wish to run more than 20PSI of boost. The VF22 is best mated with the 2.0 block and in applications of 20lbs of boost or less. VF30: The VF30 is commonly considered the best bang for the buck turbo in the IHI VF series line. A relatively new model the VF30 features the the same exhaust housing as the VF24 but a larger compressor side similar to the VF22. The combination of these two parts results in increased output potential without the lag associated with the VF22. Although it doesn't offer the top end supremecy of the VF22, the VF30 is a great compromise between these unit and the quicker spooling models. VF34: The VF34 is nearly identical to the VF30, with the same exhaust housing and compressor. However the VF34 goes back to the ball bearing design, and in doing so achieves full boost approximately 500RPM sooner than the comparable VF30. The VF34 is the most recent IHI design and as such costs slightly more than its counterpart. Top end performance and maximum output are identical to the 30. VF23 This turbo is considered a great all-around turbo. Like the VF22 it utilizes the largest P20 exhaust housing. This housing is mated with a smaller compressor housing of the of the VF24 for fast response and excellent low and mid-range performance. It does not have the same top end power of the VF22, but spools up significantly quicker. Standard ball bearing center section. Excellent bolt-on replacement for the standard WRX turbo on cars without any other major modifications. Expect flows around 430 CFM at 18 PSI. VF24 This turbo shares its compressor housing with the VF23 however, this housing is mated with a smaller (P18) exhaust side. The smaller characteristics of this turbo allow it to provide ample bottom end power and quick spool. This turbo is very popular for Imprezas with automatic transmissions and Group N rally cars. Not recommended for stroker engines or engines with high boost as turbo is small and can over speed. Best turbo for cars that want the best bottom end and least lag. Expect flows around 425 CFM at 18 PSI VF28 This turbo came standard on the STi Version 5. In terms of overall size, it is smaller than the VF22, VF30 and VF34, and about same size as the VF23. Expect flows around 425 CFM at 18 PSI VF29 This Turbo is nearly identical to the VF24, with the same compressor and exhaust housings. However the compressor wheel in the VF29 is has been changed slightly. The changes made to the compressor wheel in this model are generally viewed as improvements, and as such this unit is typically chosen over the VF24. Has a different location for the pressure hose on the waste gate actuator Expect flows around 425 CFM at 18 PSI VF35 The VF35 utilizes the same compressor housing as the VF34 however it also features a divided thrust or offset ball bearing design. The smaller P15 exhaust housing for quicker spool up and a slightly more limited top end. The compressor inducer size is the same as a VF30/or 34 turbocharger.

VF30 - VF34 = P18 exhaust housing VF35 = P15 exhaust housing Presentement j'ai un Deadbolt Enterprises Kong 1 sur l'établi et meure d'envie d'etre installé Le turbo est un model discontinué depuis 2005. Voici la description. The KONG. The next revolution in turbocharger technology from Deadbolt Enterprises is Kong. Kong features a Monster Ported P18 exhaust housing with enlarged wastegate opening, a large volume compressor housing and a quick, responsive compressor wheel design. The Kong will feature lightning fast spool-up, although slightly slower than the standard Monster, but compressor output is increased greatly, therefore yielding a higher volume of air at the same pressure. Kong comes with full ceramic coating, both the compressor and the exhaust side. This turbo can be used with 2.0-2.5 Liter engines and is capable of sustaining up to 400 HP depending on condition, setup and modifications. Maximum (efficient) boost pressure on this unit will be in the range of 20-23 PSI depending on temperatures and it should reach full boost in the 2700-3100 RPM range, depending on condition, setup and modifications. Kong is an amazing step forward for those wanting a turbo with a lot of punch, that delivers it very quickly, it is a GREAT big-power turbo that will work amazingly well on autocross as well as road race. If you have held off on a turbo upgrade because you were afraid of the horrible lag you would get with one of the more widely recognized "upgrades" then this is the unit for you! Some people have asked why we do not list more detail about this turbo on this page. Unfortunately there are several companies and individuals in the world that instead of attempting to create new ideas on their own, prefer to steal the work of others. This has already happened to us once when we completely listed all the specs of one of our turbos, and we decided at that time that it would not happen again. Voici les photos:

  6. Nous parlons bien des JDM STI version 8 (2.0l). Beaucoup de discussions aux USA sur ce sujet la. Ils ont venu a la conclusion que JDM STI v7 (forgé) et JDM STI v8 (super-eutectique). Les deux peuvent tenir le coup pour 280HP bien sur, mais faire l'essai des deux avec le plus de PSI possible, le v7 devrait remporter le combat. Je fais la recherche pour le topic, pour ceux que l'anglais soit compréhensible.

  8. wow! Je ne savais pas pour les STI 2.5l en Europe. Ce sont des GD version 8/9? wow! x2 pour les rapports plus longues que nos USDM STI. Je suis vraiment surpris. Esque l'acceleration en paie beaucoup le prix? Combien de cv développent les EDM STI 2.5l? J'imagine que les EDM STI 2.0l développent 285cv comme les JDM STI. Désolé pour les questions, je connais beaucoup les voitures JDM STI et USDM STI, mais absolument rien des EDM STI. Je débute vraiment a "0" Se sont des informations intéressantes, merci beaucoup. Kos

Normalement ici a Montreal une transmission JDM STI version 8 (USDM STI 2004-2005) DCCD complet 3800$ Canadien et les Brembo 1300$ Canadien. 5100$ Canadien ou +/- 3625€ a comparer a 6900$USD ou +/- 5587€ Je dois rajouter que la boite vendu au USA est tres propre. Pour information, j'ai appelé le vendeur et il "ship" seulement au USA....meme pas au Canada qui est juste a coté. J'aimerais avoir une information sur les transmissions EDM STI. Les JDM STI 6 vitesses = 3.636 2.375 1.761 1.346 1.062 0.842 Les USDM STI 6 vitesses = 3.636 2.375 1.761 1.346 0.971 0.756 Quels sont les rapports de vitesses des boites STI Européennes? Merci
