Tfhe gti has a (fk) trans almost the same as a (4k) but the ring and pinion and 5th are shorter than 4K. Annnnnd if you dont find your g60 trans i always have a mk2 trans (aug) if you want to trade. btw, i want to see the gti on the street soon! edit! i made an error there is ring and pinion and 5th that and different between 4K and FK. still have the same number yeah. but i broke my iphone in water two days ago . picking up a new one tomorrow morning. i sure i have the switch from the brown cabby but its in one of my parts bins. if we find it you can have it.

yes, but its not really rusting. lol. its not a mk3. i have no use for the new coilovers on them though. they have 5000kms on them. they are joms. i would sell if you need some. -
i had 235/35/19 on my mk4 automajic 1.8t. my transmission needed to be replaced after 20,000 kms. car was at 160,000 kms when that happened. i think my tires were 3/4 on an inch taller than stock and did affect my gear ratios and speedo. when i changed the transmission i also added coilovers. at that point my car was lowered and i was having problems with rub on the fender wells and rub on the coilovers. i sold the wheels and parked the car to rust in peace. lol

checked out the cars yesterday for a friend. the golf is fubar. rust holes in every metal panel, bust holes in both bumpers and swiss cheese floor pan. jetta looks okay buried/seized in the snow <does not run. -
