Hi Guys,

I'm Martin. I'm 24 years of age and a complete car nut.

A bit about my background:
As an engine overhaul specialist i was envolved in building engines for old timer cars, drag cars and circuit cars. There the passion for racing was born. We now own a Honda Civic EJ2 Time Attack car and a CRX that will be converted into a drag car next year.

Next to trying to find the time to work on the cars I also build engines. It's more of a hobby then really a job but it's something I enjoy the most. Most common engines I build are Ej20,B16a,B18c,D15,D16...

Here is a example of an completely build D16 engine I had build:




After having had 3 Honda Del Sol's a EK an Skyline an EJ and 3 Integra's I've bougt a EJ9 1.4 and I'm sticking to it. I've also own a Audi A3 but the Honda just gives me so much more fun...
I've modified this car with a S20 ESi tranny, OMI-performance suspension, Rota wheels etc..and now i want to buid a D-series engine for it.

Also i an now looking for a D16y8 or Z6 engine for my EJ9 so I can start building the engine and aim to get 170HP at 8000 RPM

I work with 2 Honda Fanatics, 1 Tuner and with an engine overhauld company

The 2 Honda Fanatics do all the preperation work like getting the engine's out, fitting turbo's, ITB's etc...

The tuner (Bekerom tuning)tunes alle the cars for me. I used to do it myself but do not have the time anymore.

The overhauld company does all the work like boring and honing the engine. I use to do this myself aswell but also no more time.

I just keep myself buisy building engines and selling our OMI-performance parts

Started working on the engine.

The plan is to build the engine in steps. First to build is the bottom end.

Bottom end:

First I began polishing the engine's inside. My goal is to smooth our the internal wall so the oil will drip faster from the wall to the oilpan. This is just a picture of the beginning. Once I finished polishing the engine, I will use Commendant 4 to really smooth out the internals so they will have a sort of chrome finish. This will be very smooth and I should achive my goal.



As you can see I have drilled some extra holes to the blockgirdle so the oil will drop faster trough the blockgirdle. I also will polish the blokgirdle like the inside of the engine block. The inside of the block girdle will also be modified to let the oil 'flood' to the custom holes I have drilled.




The crankshaft is a bit to heavy, so I will remove some excess weight. The mail focus is to get al the castings smoothed out. Once this is done the crankshaft will be balanced so it will be safe to run 8000 rmp without problems.
