Jeep et Renault...

I'm a Jeep fans, from many years, and I own some Jeeps. I collect a lot of Jeep things, and a few month ago I found this interesting picture.
In 1965 Jeep with Renault were developing a light vehicle, and made this Model H, a prototype based on the Renault 16, using the same 1.4 4 cylinder engine, but with the addition of the 4x4. It had a removable top. We can say that this is the grand grandfather of the Cherokee XJ...

Je suis un fans de Jeep, de nombreuses années, et je possède des jeeps. Je collectionne beaucoup de choses Jeep, et il ya quelques mois j'ai trouvé cette photo intéressante.
En 1965, Jeep avec Renault mettaient au point un véhicule léger, et fait de ce modèle H, un prototype basé sur la Renault 16, en utilisant le même moteur 4 cylindres 1.4, mais avec l'ajout du 4x4. Il avait un toit amovible. Nous pouvons dire que ce n'est le grand-père grandiose de la Cherokee XJ ...

Very interesting picture that I have never seen? Where have you found these informations about it? Is it an AMC show car? Sure, the first Cherokee was inspired by this H type. See you later!

@Blelan, unfortunately I cannot find online info about this concept car. But searching trough the picture I have, I found this other picture. I'm assuming it is from the same car.



@PIAF39, I collect Jeep memorabilia, above all picture for a website I'm working on. I don't remember where I get them form. It was made by Jeep, AMC bought Jeep later.

If I find more infos I will post them.

I wonder how they get a 4 wheel drive with the gearbox placed in the front of the engine, it's complicated. They managed though with the Renault 4 SINPAR so it must be possible...
Wheels are definitely from the first 16...
