Normalement oui. Je vais aller vérifier que tout est ok lundi matin mais normalement, le pick up et la remorque nous appartiennent du 4 au 11 juin 2013 (compé plus 2 jours avant et après).

Just so you know...pour l'instant, le département évalue la possibilité de nous prêter chacun un pick-up de l'Université. Reste a savoir si c'est possible d'en avoir un deuxième. J'attends une réponse lundi. Ce qui et certain, c'est qu'on a la remorque...

Bonjour Marie et Philippe,

Vos deux projets ont une compétition en même temps, et les deux ont réservés la camionnette et la remorque. Le SMIL en a fait la demande dès le retour de sa compétition l'an dernier. On avait alors apparemment jugé qu'il était simplement trop tôt (en juin 2012) pour accorder d'emblée la priorité à cette demande puisqu'elle était faite, en somme, au cours de l'exercice (l'année scolaire) précédent l'année scolaire visée.Je me souviens que ça avait ma réaction en voyait passer le courriel adressé à Johanne. C'est sûrement ce qui a expliqué qu'aucune réservation n'était inscrite lorsque le baja a fait sa demande en septembre.

Quoi qu'il en soit, il y a conflit. Normalement, le Baja a priorité sur la remorque, ayant participé directement à son achat. Dans ce cas-ci, considérant que le SMIL avait soumis une demande de réservation en premier, peut-être pourrait-on envisager un partage des frais de location de véhicule (camion cube ou autre) pour le projet des deux qui obtera pour cette solution.

On pourrait se rencontrer là-dessus, au moment qui vous convient.

J'ai jasé avec Johanne ce matin, on va avoir le pick up de la FSG et la remorque. Hehe.

Elle a reussi a trouvé un second pick up au Service des immeubles mais il est plus petit. Elle préfère donc que ce soit le sperme qui l'utilise comme on a une charge plus importante a tirer.

Pour la remorque, elle dit qu'elle nous appartient et qu'en plus le sperme n'a pas encore payé sa part pour leur première compétition et qu'ils ont l'argent pour se débrouiller avec leur location de remorque...ça va peut-être chialer du bord du supermileage mais bon. Le problème est réglé.

The Baja SAE Rochester World Challenge will be collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to the local Food Cupboard. All teams are strongly urged to participate. These donations will be collected on Thursday as Teams check in and get setup in the Pits – please note that your pit location may be based on whether your team makes a donation – teams donating to the Food Cupboard may get better pit spots. Typical donation amount would be 1 to 2 items per attending team member. Examples of items:

Meals in a can, Nonfat Dry Milk, Oatmeal, Canned Meats/Poultry packed in water (tuna, chicken, etc.), Peanut Butter, Dry Beans, Canned Vegetables, Canned Soup (plastic jars as well), Pasta or Macaroni, Canned Fruit, Rice, Canned Stews, Natural Applesauce, 100% juice cans or boxes, Cereal Bars

Voici le résumé des réglements importants envoyés par la SAE le 30 mai dernier. C'etait bon pour Washington et ce l'est pour Rochester. Je ne vous demande pas de lire tout au moment ou vous prendrez ce message mais au moins une fois avant la compétition? Sinon il y aura une copie papier par cartable/char. Vous pourrez en faire la lecture pendant les 8 heures de route.

General Info:
 No technical inspection will be performed on the day of endurance.
o Tech will open at __:__am and close when no cars are in line this morning
o Tech will re-open at __:__pm and after that by appointments only.
o If you do not pass tech by noon today you will not receive a cost score
 If anything on your car breaks during the event, you must replace it with a similar item. If a
similar item is not available, you must notify a Tech inspector for approval. You cannot replace
an item just because you think it might break.
 Anytime the car is driving under its own power, the driver must have all gear on and properly
belted. This includes having goggles on.
 Teams are not allowed to work on their cars anywhere in the dynamic area. Work can only be
performed in the Paddocks.
 Only the driver and one team member, who are walking with the car, are allowed in the
dynamic areas. All other team members must stay in the designated spectator area.
 Starting to fuel with any part of the driver still in the car is a DQ
 Must have fire extinguisher pointed at fuel tank while fueling. (including removable tanks and
smaller fuel containers)
Dynamic Area:
 Walking speed anytime your car is not on the track
 Only volunteers and one team member is allowed in the dynamic area
 Driver must remain belted in if you are flat towed; any raised towing requires driver to be out of
the car.
Endurance Day Notes
General Info:
 No technical inspection will be performed on the day of endurance.
 During the Endurance race, Baja SAE mobile will show your updated lap counts and should be
updated constantly.
 If there is a problem with your Endurance results, you MUST file a problem report on BajaSAE
Mobile within 15 minutes of the end of the endurance race.
 All drivers for the endurance event must have “checkered” driver wrist bands on the right wrist.
 Only approved helmets and safety gear can be used during the event, all items taken at
technical inspected will be available for pick-up at the conclusion of the event.
 If anything on your car breaks during the event, you must replace it with a similar item. If a
similar item is not available, you must notify the black flag Technical Inspector for approval. You
cannot replace an item just because you think it might break.

Fuel Area:
 Fueling can only take place in the fueling area, fueling in the paddocks is not allowed on
endurance day once gridding closes and will result in a 30 minute penalty.
 All fuel containers must be moved to the fuel area, remember to fill generators and other items
prior to gridding closing.
 Walking speed anytime your car is not on the track.
 No tools are allowed in the fuel area. Adjustments that don’t require tools are allowed in fuel
area. Example: Seat Belts or seat position
 3 people max including drivers – penalty
o Warning first time
o 10 minute penalty second time
o DQ third time
 Starting to fuel with any part of the driver still in the car is a DQ
 Must have fire extinguisher pointed at fuel tank while fueling. (including removable tanks and
smaller fuel containers)
 All drivers must have belts adjusted properly prior to returning on to the track including helmet
neck strap.
 All reentry on to the track will be through the fuel area.
 Refueling area to be clear of anyone not immediately servicing a car.
 Car may not be pushed into the fueling area without a driver strapped into the seat. Moving the
car to the fueling area from the pits, before the driver is ready, is not allowed.
Endurance Day Notes
Endurance Track:
 Only Recovery Team members are allowed on track
 3 roll overs anywhere on the course, regardless of driver, will be a DQ
 3 assists in the same area will also result in a DQ you will be black flagged after the second time
 Reckless driving, passing under yellow, and avoiding obstacles all begin with a warning, and then
increase in time penalty
 Driver must remain belted in if you are flat towed; any raised towing requires driver to be out of
the car.
 Staging will close one half hour before start of endurance; drivers must be ready to race in
safety gear, with engines started.
Recovery Team:
 Only official/ Technical Inspectors and Recovery Team members are allowed in the dynamic/
Endurance Track. All other must stay in the designated spectator areas.
 The goal of the recovery team is to keep the track clear and safe for the drivers.
 Recovery Team members should only enter the track once the nearest flagger has displayed
a “Yellow” flag
 Recovery Team member should never turn their backs to oncoming traffic without having a
spotter.
 Recovery Team members should never pull a car that is stuck and still running. They should
only push these vehicles.
 Recovery Team members should be aware of all rotating parts when trying to free a car, and
ensure any loose item do not become tangled with these rotating parts. For example if you
have long hair please have it pulled back.
 When standing off the track, never stand in a blind location; always try to be to the inside of
turns.
 Only the national Tech Inspectors will be calling in black flag items, such as: missing driver
equipment, non-function safety equipment(brake Lights), aggressive driving, cars that
cannot make it through a obstacle, passing on a “Yellow Flag”, Roll Overs, etc. The recovery
team should only focus on keeping the track clear and safe.
 If a car rolls over in your area, get the car back on 4-wheels, ensure the driver is ok, and then
hold the car for a Technical Inspection.
 The radios should only be used to call in a medical emergency or call for a tow.
