My S50B30S + e30 M3

I have a lot of questions about this swap.

Yersterday I put the engine with subframe in the car, but engine rubber motor mounts don't fit in.

I used rubber motor mounts from 525 e34, what engine motor mounts use you?

Headers hit right wishbone suspension bracket, it's possible to modify the angle of the headers to prevent contact with suspension?

you have to use e28 535 motor mounts, for the wishbone suspension bracket, look at my picture swap, i used tree house racing braket ,bought in usa, but it's easier to modifie your headers

The piece n°8 is the one you need.

One question : What are you gonna do for the air-admission ? You cut it or you suppress the mastervac ?

I cut air intake, more easy/fast than try with differents masters

Another troubles with swap, anybody want's this not finished M3 :rambo:

Right engine mount:




Left engine mount:




I not tight bolts of engine mounts, but I'm sure that left engine mount doesn't move.


-Front stabilizer not fit with exhaust



-Gear shift/gearbox towards ahead, I think best solution is lengthen shifting arm and selector rod, aprox 8mm each, what do you think about it?

Y-ou must enlarge the holes on your e36 brackets





-for the front stabiliser, you must hit (just a little) the exhaust....

-for the Gear shift/gearbox, you must use all the m3 e30 system ,with the e30 320/325 ( not m3)gearbox bracket


- last, Six cylinders works VERY VERY well with this modification, no matter

What's the correct combination of clutch control?


A - M3 e30 input cylinder and output cylinder

B - M3 e30 input cylinder and M3 e36 output cylinder

C - M3 e36 input and output cylinder

si je comprend bien, si le levier de vitesse tombe en avant du "trou", c'est que le systeme provient de la boite du S50/S52

si le levier tombe au milieu c'est que le systeme retenu provient de la M3 E30

You must remove the iron plate which is inside the rubber sleeve, it will be less rigid, and you can put it in place.
It comes into force ...

Are you sure that I can install airbox with brake master cylinder?

On the first picture you can see the stock master-cylinder :




To move the lookheed tank i've used one from an older E28 and the 2 hoses coming from a E38...

What radiator have you in yours swap?

I install one of 325 e30 with air conditioning, with more capacity agaisnt radiator without A/C.

What think abut it?
