Xavi organise le 3e Split Buses only meeting les 2 et 3 Mai 2014, et compte avoir un maximum de bus français ..c'est à Mataro tout prêt de Barcelone et non loin de Perpignan sur costa brava .. c'est un pote, Les OGboys y seront chouchoutés

SBOM is a VW Split Bus Only Meeting and strikes again after 5 years of silence. Like in 2008 and 2009, the aim of this event is to gather as much as possible split busses together. It won’t be an issue to break the modest record of 18 buses gathered in 2008 because nowadays the split bus scene is at its peak point.

The event will take place in Mataro’s Sea Port the 3rd of May, 2014. It will be a one day event, full of activities, with the following program:

• Registration of the participants
• Small breakfast (hot chocolate and cake)
• Kids corner
• DJ Weber (music from the 60s, 70s & 80s)
• Show & Shine
• Cruising (Bus convoy by the side of the sea )
• Lunch
• Awards (Oldest, Lowest, Farthest, Best Camper, Best Passenger, Best Commercial…)
• Gifts (a lot of t-shirts, sweaters, cool accessories and other stuff)
• Special Raffle: Hazet Mini Assi 160


The organization knows the big effort that people from far away is going to do if they come. For that reason the event will be full of activities and a lot of special rewards for those who traveled long distances, like the Frathest Bus Award, the Hazet tool cart raffle and a lot of gifts!

Bus enthusiasts that come without their buses are also welcomed, maybe some of you are just on holidays and can take the advantage to attend to the meeting.

The Event will take place in Mataro, a city with a nice frontsea, at just 30km from Barcelona (http://goo.gl/maps/8YqU4).


- Registrations will be cheap, around 5€ per Bus, and will include a fabric special greeting bag and a t-shirt, among other goodies.

- Lunch will take place in one of the Sea Port’s (place and prices still to be confirmed, but it will be cheap for sure).

- There will be two sleeping options (prices still to be confirmed):
- Atenea Port Hotel (http://www.campingbarcelona.com/)
- Camping Barcelona (http://www.hotelateneaport.com)

- Confirmation will be required to attend at the meeting, due to Sea Port rules.

Hello les boys, je ne sais pas si je serai de la partie mais dans tout les cas si à mi-chemin (bourgogne du sud) il y en a qui veulent faire une petite pause; et bien ils sont le s bienvenus.

So the registration just started... In the first 48 hours, nothing less than 7 split buses got registered!! Nice!

Some french split bus owners asked how to register... I have to say that I didn't finished the english and french registration sheets yet... Next week are done for sure!

Some helpful info:

Place: Mataro Sea Port (30km before Barcelona)
Registration: 5€ per split bus
Lunch: 20€ per adult, 10€ per kid. Tsunami Port Restaurant, special Menu.
Camping: Camping Barcelona (at just 2km).
18€ per night including: parcel, electricity and 2 adults.
There are also 3 hotels very close to the meeting.

Program:
Friday 2nd may
First participants arrive. There are no activities scheduled. Just stay at the camping, among other split bus owners, and relax.

Saturday 3rd may
10:00am Attendant's registration
Hot Chocolate and Cakes
Kinder Corner (place for kids to play and draw)
DJ Weber
Show and Shine
13:00 Cruising. Sea and Hills near Mataró
14:00 Lunch at a Restaurant Tsunami Port
17:00 Awards
Gifts raffle (free raffle)
Hazet Assistant Raffle (2€ ticket raffle)
End of the show

People can then return home or stay that night at the camping, same as friday.
